Reviews of the Gleneagles Hotel, Southend, EssexPlease see below some guest reviews from a range of hotel & travel websites: I have just completed a length stay at this delightful hotel. The rooms have been elegantly refurbished, including new sash double glazed windows. Couresportivo Manchester Stayed at this hotel in October 2007 , great location it’s private and quiet with great views of the sea. the room we stayed in was quite large with a living room area with a tv and couch and a bedroom with a hair dryer in the room . bathroom was modern and spotless , also bed was comfy and good linens and pillows , the young lady that looked after us could not do enough for us , as the current manager was on holiday , they should be proud, l think her name was farah. the stay also included a full breakfast that was great . Traveldaft Toronto A group of 8 of us stayed for one saturday night. We really had no complaints about the hotel. Rooms A and B are located downstairs near the breakfast room and have their own private lounge with sofas and sky television so you don't need to enter the main hotel. The rooms were spacious and very clean although our bathroom was tiny. The hotel is well located at the 'nice end' of southend within easy walking distance of the seafront and shops. Just for reference we also enjoyed a lovely meal at the Fishermans warf restaurant nearby. Stephie, London The staff were second to non, the room was lovely with view of the sea, central to the town and the front. The hostess was helpfull with everything, its just a place to stay near everything with everything you need at the time. The parking was round the back and very tight but that is because of parking restrictions. The friendly, personal welcome set the tone from the moment we walked through the door. It had a wonderful feel of a family home and we were greeted as if we were members of that family. It's individuality is its strong point, this hotel is not part of a corporate chain, but a really family run guest home. Angela, Swindon Stayed here on business, Hotel was ideal for the town center (Pubs, Take-aways and restaurants etc). For holiday makers the hotel is ideally situated for the local attractions, seafront, beach etc. Staff extremely helpful in all aspects. Clean & Comfortable. Hotel – Southend. Hotel close to Southend Pier, Adventure Island, Cliffs Pavillion & Victoriax Park. |
